The rhetorical appeal of the image is rejection because that is the response the viewer has when viewing the image. There is an image of a girl who is with someone else while an admirer stands in the background with a sad look on his face and a flower that we assume was being used to woo her. The image leaves a lot up to the imagination the audience which would include any Lego or star wars fans presumably between the ages of 12-25. Thew purpose of the piece is to allow for the viewers to come up with their own interpretation with some favor towards a love triangle focused on rejection. The mode is visual while the media is digital allowing for the audience to experience emotion visually without words or sound and easily though online access. The main rhetorical appeal is pathos because the image evokes emotion. The emotions it plays with are sadness and rejection which is demonstrated by the sad expressions and slumped body language of the background character. The style is simplistic which focuses on the main emotion the read background could represent love while the three characters are spaced strategically to evoke the feeling of rejection and a love triangle. If I were to remediate this image I would add a short text for even more background information or turn the image into a gif to really express the emotion of the background character who appears to be the focus of emotion.
