This song is a persuasive piece with the objective to make a girl fall in love with the singer. The entire song is basically a list of all of the best traits of the girl he is singing to as well as examples on how he plans to treat her once she finally gives in. The audience is clearly directed at one person. The musician is attempting to get a response out of the girl he loves. In addition to his specific audience he is also singing to a more general audience being anyone who has tried to get someones attention. He uses a lot of pathos by singing about his emotions and how he feels about the girl while also flattering her to bring out positive emotions in her. Not only that but he establishes ethos by giving examples of how he will treat her, giving him the credibility to be a trustworthy companion. The mood of the song is very upbeat and feel good which matches the lyrics perfectly. There is a lot of hope and joy in the song that sounds like it is coming from someone who is already in love and is excited to see what comes of it. The singer is confident in his ability to win the girl over and that confidence is expressed with the mood of the song very clearly. If the genre that the singer was trying to follow was one of a love song than he hit the nail on the head. The song makes people feel like they could be that girl that he is singing about or that the potential for love is just right around the corner.
